Directions, Transportation and Accomodation
Where is the wedding ceremony and reception venue?
Both will be held at Orchardleigh House. You can find directions here.
What is the easiest way to get there?
Driving is recommended, there is ample parking on the estate. You can check the map here.
Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
If the weather is on our side we intend to have our ceremony and canapés outside.
Do we have to stay at the venue?
No, but as there is a late license in place booking a room is recommended to save the hassle of getting to your hotel!
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check in is from 1pm. It is asked that guests leave their rooms by 10am, and the house by 11am.
Dress code
What is the dress code?
Formal wear is preferred e.g. dresses for ladies and suits for men.
Plus ones and children
Can I bring a plus one?
This will have been specified on your invitation, if it wasn't then unfortunately not. Please get in touch if there are any issues.
Can I bring my children?
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate any children at our wedding, aside from close family members. Thank you for your understanding.
Menu and dietary restrications
What type of food will be served at your wedding?
A selection of canapés will be served during the drinks reception, we will then have a three course meal during the wedding breakfast, followed by additional buffet style food in the evening.
Will there be an open bar?
There will be unlimited wine and pimms. Prosecco will also be provided for toasts. Orchardleigh has a reasonably-priced bar where you will be able to purchase any additional drinks of your choosing.
Will there be meal options if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?
We will be able to accommodate this, providing it is made clear on your RSVP form here.
If we are staying, is there breakfast?
Yes, for £14 per person you can get an all-you-can-eat full English and continental breakfast. Breakfast is served between 8:30 and 9:30 in the house. After checkout you can head to The Peacock Restaurant at a time to suit you if this is preferable.
Wedding registry and gifts
Could you give me a link to your wedding registry?
Alternative to gifts we are simply asking if you would like to contribute towards the cost of our honeymoon, you can do this online here.
Wedding weekend itinerary
What is the wedding day itinerary?
Our schedule can be viewed online here.
What time will your wedding reception end?
Our bar will only close when there are less than 10 people still standing, so that is very much up to you! Our DJ will be leaving around midnight.
What time should I arrive?
If you have booked a room check in is from 1pm. Our ceremony is due to start at 2.30pm so it is recommended you arrive at least 45 minutes beforehand.
Will there be a time gap between your ceremony and reception?
Yes, our ceremony will be followed by drinks and canapés prior to the wedding breakfast. The evening reception will follow from this.
other faqs
Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?
Our ceremony will be completely unplugged and it is kindly asked that you remain off your phone as much as possible during the wedding, our photographer would like to see your faces, not your phones!
